Mt Keira via Thirlmere

Mt Keira for Lunch via Thirlmere

This run takes us from Casula, our starting point, via Campbelltown, Appin, Thirlmere (for morning tea) to the Mt Keira Lookout for lunch. A suggested route home is via Wollongong for those who would like a longer run.

Meeting point:	Caltex Servo on Campbelltown Road at Casula
Times:	9.30a.m. for 10:00am start
Destination:	Lunch at Mt Keira Lookout around 12 noon.

Précis- Start at McDonalds and drive to Wisemans Ferry via McGraths Hill, thence to the top of Mangrove Mountain and on to Dooralong via Yarramalong. The trip will take about 2 ¾ hours depending on traffic and our morning tea stop.

		Keep to left and turn on to M5 motorway
10		Keep left and turn off M5 and back onto Campbelltown Rd
15		Becomes Appin Rd at lights in Campbelltown (Narellan to right)
		Follow Appin Rd.
32		Becomes Wilton Rd after Appin to Argyle St
		Follow Argyle Rd and turn right on to Thirlmere Way
61		Follow Thirlmere Way to Thirlmere, Turn right over railway crossing and then turn left into Barbour Rd and into car park behind Whistlestop Cafe
	1100	Coffee stop at Whistlestop Cafe
		Retrace our route back onto Thirlmere Way
		Turn Right into Bridge St
63		Follow Bridge St and turn left into Argyle St
		Turn right into Menangle Rd
97		Follow Menangle Rd to Picton Rd
		Follow Picton Rd to Mt Keira Rd
		Turn left into Queen Elizabeth Dr
	1200	Stop at Mt Keira Lookout for lunch or coffee at Cafe
		Follow Mt Keira Rd to Wollongong and then return home or depart from cafe to return home.
