Picnic Run to Patonga starting at Thompson's Corner

	Bring picnic rug and picnic lunch, although food and drink (very good fish & chips) are available at Patonga, our lunch stop.
	Watch speed limits on the Old Pacific Highway – Police constantly patrol the road and use stationary speed cameras at weekends - and fixed speed camera on Woy Woy Road.
	For those that want to play cricket, feel free to bring your bat and ball. There is a pitch near the rotunda at Patonga.

Thompson’s Corner to Patonga (85km), 10am for a 10.30am start

Actual start 10.30am – arrive at Patonga 12 approx.

	Left out of car park and on to Castle Hill Road
	Right at first lights into New Line Road,
	Right at second roundabout onto Boundary Road,
	Left at second set of traffic lights onto Pennant Hills Road – proceed to Pearce’s Corner,
	Left onto Pacific Highway at Pearce’s Corner and follow the Pacific Highway through Waitara, Hornsby, Asquith, Mt Colah, Mt Kuring-gai. There are several Shell & Mobil Fuel stops along the way.
	Turn left off the old tollway onto the Pacific Highway to Cowan.

Group-up Point 1 Stop on the right hand side adjacent to the Old Toll Gates.

Proceed to Cowan, Mooney Mooney & Mount White

Group-up Point 2 Stop at the old fuel stop at Tee Intersection.

	Turn right towards Peats Ridge, then turn right again to Gosford (this road is newly sealed using large gravel – beware of gravel drifts!)
	Proceed towards Gosford, past old Sydney Town. At the roundabout turn right towards Gosford – proceed under freeway
	At traffic lights turn left to Gosford
	Right turn at second set of traffic lights to Woy Woy on Woy Woy Road
	66 Km Fixed Speed Camera – (80kph) Woy Woy Road
	At first roundabout turn right towards Patonga and Pearl beach (BP & Shell)
	74 Km Fixed Speed Camera – (60kph) Ocean Beach Road
	At roundabout on Ocean Beach Road & Sydney Avenue turn right
	Beware the last few kms into Patonga, it can be bumpy and there are concealed driveways
	Park at shops across the road from the beach – there should be ample parking

	Via the F3 back to Sydney or...
	Via Freemans Drive & Newline Road (More than 100kms!)
