jindabyne09@clubmandrivers.com or to any CDCofA officer. As you have probably heard, NSW has committed to organising the Clubbie Nationals in November 2009 and what better place to hold it than the Snowy Mountains in the spring; beautiful fresh air, interesting, empty roads, central to many clubbie enthusiasts, and lots to see and do. Why not make it an opportunity to spend a week exploring the area or renewing your acquaintance with it? We will hold the Nationals mid-week with registration on Sunday and events on Monday and Tuesday culminating in a formal dinner on Tuesday evening. Holding it midweek instead of a weekend will mean you only have to take time off during one week, rather than having to break into two and it gives you the weekend to get there. Also there will be less competition for accommodation and the roads, making the event a much more enjoyable experience. Dates for your diary are:
As well as a programme of motoring and social events, there will be a spouse programme and we plan to allow time for you to just chill out, socialise or explore for yourselves. The event will be open to all comers, whether members of the CDCofA or not. We plan on using The Station Resort, Jindabyne as our base. You can view details of the facilities on their web site at www.stationresort.com.au (the photos here are borrowed from their site). The Resort is not normally open at this time of year but they have agreed to open it especially for us, and we are very grateful to them for that. Consequently we will have the place to ourselves, which will improve the security of our valuable machinery. Richard Audsley is leading the planning and implementation group and a number of others have volunteered to help with the many and varied aspects. If you would like to join this merry band of willing workers, Richard would love to hear from you. Constructive comments and suggestions are very welcome; you can send them to any of the current CDCofA committee. It is still very early days in the planning process, so there is plenty of opportunity to incorporate your ideas. We invite you to submit your Expression of Interest in the event. This will assist us to plan an event which will suit as many people as possible and we can put you on a distribution list for future bulletins. We welcome any suggestions you may have on what you would like to do and see in the area. EOI submission options are:
